About Me

I’m Andrea (she/her), a professional communicator with a growing focus on the cultural sector. A Pennsylvania native, I'm currently based in Wales pursuing a master’s degree in Global Cultures at Cardiff University. My studies explore the evolution of cultural industries in a globalized world, with a focus on the creative economy, transnational interactions, diversity, and the power of individual creativity.

I’m particularly interested in storytelling as a cultural artifact, including how fictional narratives, like folklore, shape our understanding of identity, history, and human connection. Stories passed through generations can illuminate unique cultural identities, bridge divides, and expand our perspectives beyond traditional historical accounts.

My undergraduate background in communication, combined with work experience in public relations and media, has deepened my curiosity about the intersection of language, storytelling, and human interaction in diverse contexts. Looking forward, I'm eager to expand my understanding of these areas with an anthropological approach.

Through this blog, I’ll explore folklore, storytelling, and traditions from around the world while examining modern communication trends—and whatever else sparks my curiosity! I’d love for you to join the conversation and share your thoughts along the way.
